About Kyparissi
Kyparissi, home to the Tsigaris family, is a beautiful village along the north east coast of Laconia. Nestled between the Parnon mountain range and the Myrtoan Sea, the village is it’s own secluded paradise. While the journey getting there from Athens is quite an adventure, the destination is most definitely worth it. From sunbathing and swimming to rock climbing and hiking, Kyparissi provides a relaxing escape.
Visited by Ryan Seacrest and the late Princess Diana, the cobalt blue waters, olive tree orchards, delicious food and friendly locals truly make this village special. It’s one of those places that’s better left a secret.. you’ll see.

EAT & DRINK
There are a few local favorites featuring traditional Greek cuisine that is native to the region. We suggest going to Maritselas for breakfast or lunch as you get a clear view of the sea from any table. For dinner, Estiatorio Ploes or O Takaouras Taverna are great options. Thini or Baraki are always open for that afternoon or late night cocktail. And lastly, we can’t recommend Cavo Kortia enough for any and every meal of the day!
* Please note, there are no ATM’s, banks or gas stations in the village. It’s highly recommended that travelers come equipped with Euros as most vendors do not accept credit cards.
EXPLORE
Whether you’ve come to relax or come for an adventure, Kyparissi has got you covered. The village’s best beach, Agia Kyriaki, is great for soaking up the sun or going for a swim. If you find yourself on the other side of the village, you can go on a beautiful 2 mile walk through nature and along the sea to St. George Church. For those craving a real adventure, Kyparissi is famous for its rock climbing.
